A very happy new year to you all! We are now very much back in the workshop and planning how our year will look in 2024. Tomorrow heralds the beginning of the new lunar cycle; bringing with it an array of new beginnings and an ideal time for self-reflection and goal setting. A beautiful, scarlet leather back- pack is currently winging its way to Minnesota for its own new beginning; it’s lovely to know our handmade bags are travelling all over the globe. We are also planning a shoemaker’s day out at the end of the month, where we are very much hoping some goal setting and self-reflection will be taking place in a jacuzzi and on a massage bed!
We like to listen to podcasts in the studio and one which we can highly recommend is naturebang on BBC sounds. Science meets storytelling with a philosophical twist with Becky Ripley and Emily Knight.
Date for your Diary: Cathy will be at Heptonstall School from 10am-1pm this Saturday (13th January) as a member of the team at the repair café. If you have something that needs mending to give it a new beginning; bring it along we’d love to see you there.
